How To Train Your Dragon

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is just that, a hiccup on his family lineage. The story takes place in the village of Berk where slaying dragons isn't just a means of pest control, its a way of life. But for Hiccup, slaying dragons doesn't come as naturally as it does for the rest of his Viking peers. Instead of slaying, Hiccup takes the time to learn about the mysterious and misunderstood creatures that have been targeted for generations, unlocking secrets that have prevented co-habitation.

How To Train Your Dragon is a beautiful story about being yourself, despite the hardships you face from not fitting in. It is a story about never muffling your innovation or stifling you curiosity. But most of all, its a story of how one boy, no matter how small can be the key to peace, if only we are wiling to let him try. Never judge a book by its cover and always give people a chance.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It was moving and humorous and everything I ask for when seeing a movie. It took me into the story and left me wondering when I left. I went in with high expectations and it met every one. So with that, I rate this movie extremely high and highly recommend IMAX 3D. You will leave this theater with a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart, no matter any age. =]

Repomen

A very ingenious cautionary tale about the lives of people and how what you do, does indeed define who you are. Repomen takes place in the near future. Its focus on those men, who after the the purchase of new organs, when payments can no longer be made, stalk their prey and repossess the rightful property of "The Union".

While it had a promising plot, Repomen did indeed lack in certain areas. It at times seemed very slow and in my opinion, lacked serious character development. Just as we began to delve deep into a character, the plot would shift to something. For some reason, i left the theater thinking "I don't buy this."

However, despite those not so hot points, I did really enjoy this movie. It brought me everything I wanted. Barely exceeding my expectations, the ending was rather good. And for those who find the chance of gore in movies as a turn off, it was presented somewhat tastefully. Jude Law was great in his portrayal of Remy and might I add very nice to look at. (Ladies let me tell you now there are several shirtless scenes.)
